Registered Respiratory Therapist - WEO Day Shift - Full Time

Description Possesses an in-depth knowledge of respiratory anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, disease process, patient evaluation and assessment skills and critical thinking skills. Leads the team in performing all respiratory procedures and protocols, testing, and CPR in all areas of the hospital as directed by the supervisor. Education Required: Graduate of an accredited respiratory program. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy. Experience No prior experience required. Skills Provides care as appropriate to age of population served. Proficient in safely providing all routine and emergent respiratory modalities. Able to assess patients and provide patient care per protocol. Provides accurate and appropriate electronic documentation. Provides accurate and appropriate education to patients, students, and new staff. Possesses assessment and critical thinking skills. Possesses in-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Adheres to infection prevention practices and facility safety policies and procedures. Able to provide assessment of patients to determine appropriate respiratory care plan. Communicates effectively to act as a professional resource to the healthcare team.
