SAP ERP Program Manager

ERP Sr. Project ManagerLocation: Hybrid Onsite 1-2 days/week in Downers Grove, ILOverview:We are seeking an ERP Sr. Project Manager that will lead the planning and execution of a Global SAP Public Cloud ERP implementation. This PM will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, aligning project goals with business strategy, and ensuring successful delivery across all phases of the project lifecycle. This role requires deep SAP ERP project management expertise, strong leadership, and a proven track record of delivering SAP ERP projects on time and within budget.Responsibilities:Lead end-to-end delivery of SAP ERP implementation projects, including planning, execution, and post-go-live support.Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocations.Collaborate with business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.Oversee integration of SAP modules with legacy systems and third-party applications.Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve issues, and ensure quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.Manage ERP Systems Integrator relationships and deliverablesProvide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams including IT, Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and Operations.Ensure alignment with PMO standards, governance, and reporting practices.Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to executive leadership and stakeholders.Oversee data migration planning, execution, and validation across legacy and SAP systems.Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards during ERP implementation.Lead cutover planning and execution, ensuring a smooth transition to the new SAP environment.Support post-implementation stabilization and continuous improvement initiatives.Partner with finance, operations, and IT leadership to align ERP capabilities with strategic business goals.Manage project financials, including forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis.Conduct executive steering committee meetings and provide strategic insights on project health and risks.Qualifications:10+ years of project management experience, with 7+ years leading SAP ERP implementations.Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, information technology, or a related field is requiredPMP, PMI-ACP, or SAP certification strongly preferred.Experience managing multi-million-dollar ERP projects in a matrixed or global environment.Proven track record of successfully managing and leading an SAP Public Cloud implementation from initiation to completion.Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Smartsheet, Azure DevOps)Experience with Agile and traditional waterfall project management methodologiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environmentPrior relevant professional / consulting experience requiredAbility to travel as needed and work flexible hours during critical project phases.
