Location: Holiday Inn San Marcos Convention Center | 105 Bintu Dr. San Marcos, Texas 78666
Schedule: 5 Days Per Week | 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

The Holiday Inn San Marcos Convention Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Bartender to oversee daily bar operations while delivering exceptional guest service in our hotel bar and restaurant, Spring's Bistro + Bar. This leadership role is responsible for beverage service, inventory management, social media engagement, and supporting banquet operations as needed. The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality professional with strong organizational skills, a passion for guest experiences, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding food and beverage service to hotel guests and restaurant patrons.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards and Texas alcohol regulations.
• Lead daily bar operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards.
• Manage bar and restaurant inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and monitoring product usage to minimize waste and control costs.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Create and publish social media content to promote bar specials, restaurant offerings, hotel events, and guest engagement initiatives.
• Assist with developing beverage promotions and special events to increase revenue and guest satisfaction.
• Train, mentor, and support bartending and service staff as needed.
• Coordinate with restaurant, banquet, and hotel management teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide support for banquet events and special functions, including additional hours when business demands require.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the Holiday Inn brand with excellence.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience required.
• Lead bartender, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• Hotel bar and restaurant experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with inventory management and beverage cost control preferred.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and additional banquet hours as needed.
• Current TABC certification required or ability to obtain certification upon hire.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
