Work Environment The position is on-site at our New York City facility, designed to foster collaboration and innovation within our therapy team. You will join a team composed of two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), all committed to creating a supportive environment that emphasizes continuous learning and professional growth. Our work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments to establish individual therapy goals and treatment plans. Manage a patient load averaging two individuals per hour, ensuring each session is focused and effective. Deliver evidence-based orthopedic therapy interventions, focusing on enhancing clients’ range of motion, strength, and mobility. Develop and implement comprehensive, customized fitness and wellness programs tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. Utilize manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription to facilitate recovery, minimizing reliance on medications and surgical interventions whenever possible. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care and improved treatment outcomes. Track and evaluate patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery. Document all therapy sessions meticulously, utilizing EMR software like WebPT to maintain accurate patient records. Encourage and motivate patients through their rehabilitation journey, fostering a supportive environment that promotes health and wellness. Patient Population / Client Focus We cater to a diverse clientele, primarily those with orthopedic issues seeking rehabilitation and recovery solutions. Many of our patients are individuals seeking to regain functionality following injury, surgery, or chronic conditions. Your role will focus on understanding their unique challenges and providing individualized care aimed at improving their overall physical health and well-being. Qualifications A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required. Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York City is required. No history of board or disciplinary actions on your license. Proficient in manual therapy techniques and designing exercise programs tailored to orthopedics. Ability to proficiently utilize EMR software like WebPT. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred. Experience in developing individualized treatment plans for patients with varied orthopedic conditions. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education.
