Key Qualifications:

• Valid Washington State SPED license & ESA certificate (verification required)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in special education, preferably in school settings
• Demonstrated commitment to transition-aged students (18-22)
• Strong ability to thrive independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Preparedness for possible BIE adjudication process and prompt availability for credentialing

Core Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, individualized instruction for ages 18-22 in a transition classroom
• Develop and implement IEPs focused on life skills, independence, and community integration
• Collaborate with families, local agencies, and support staff to maximize student outcomes
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal guidelines, documentation, and reporting
• Play a vital role in preparing students for successful post-school transitions
