Senior Manager, AI Experience Designer

Pfizer seeks a Senior Manager, AI Experience Designer to lead the design and delivery of trustworthy, AI-powered user experiences across technology platforms. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring deep expertise in agentic AI and conversational interfaces alongside strong technical fluency with LLM APIs and prototyping frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end experience design from problem framing and research through prototyping, validation, and implementation partnership
• Design conversational and agentic AI workflows across chat, voice, and multimodal interactions with appropriate safeguards
• Build working prototypes using LLM APIs and agent frameworks to validate assumptions and identify usability and trust risks
• Partner with Product and Engineering to define scope, resolve trade-offs, and ensure design intent translates to delivered product
• Establish reusable interaction approaches, standards, and patterns that improve consistency and quality across platforms

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years progressive UX design experience, or Master's with 5+ years, or PhD with 1+ year
• Hands-on experience prototyping with LLM APIs and agent frameworks to test real system behavior
• Demonstrated expertise designing conversational UX including dialog flows, state management, and error recovery
• Proven experience designing agentic AI workflows with human oversight, approvals, and safe failure modes
• Track record creating reusable interaction patterns, components, or design frameworks across multiple products
• Strong technical fluency with front-end principles, APIs, and engineering constraints; ability to collaborate with development teams
• Extensive experience with AI-driven design tools and rapid prototyping methodologies
