Social Media & Content Lead

We're supporting a rapidly growing venture-backed AI company looking to hire a Social Media & Content Lead to own and scale its brand presence across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and emerging social channels. This is a highly visible opportunity to shape how one of the most exciting companies in AI communicates with customers, prospects, and industry leaders. You'll work closely with founders and marketing leadership, owning the content lifecycle from idea generation and storytelling to publishing, engagement, and performance analysis. We're looking for someone who combines exceptional writing ability, strong content instincts, social media expertise, and a genuine interest in technology and AI. What You'll Be Doing Own and grow the company's presence across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and other relevant channels Create compelling content that simplifies complex technology and industry topics Develop content calendars and social campaigns aligned with business goals Partner with founders and leadership on thought leadership initiatives Edit and publish short-form video content including YouTube Shorts Monitor community engagement, comments, and conversations Analyse content performance and optimise for growth and engagement Research competitors, industry trends, and emerging opportunities Support paid social initiatives and campaign launches Experiment with new content formats, hooks, and storytelling approaches Ideal Background We're interested in speaking with candidates who have: 3-7+ years of experience in social media, content creation, content marketing, or digital marketing Previous startup experience, ideally within SaaS, AI, or high-growth technology businesses Exceptional writing and storytelling ability A strong understanding of what performs across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and modern social platforms Experience creating short-form video content Strong creative instincts balanced with a performance-driven mindset Ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments Nice to Have B2B SaaS experience AI or emerging technology experience Founder-led content experience Experience supporting thought leadership campaigns Understanding of analytics and content attribution Experience scaling audiences from the ground up Experience with some of the following is highly desirable: Content & Design Figma Social Platforms LinkedIn X (Twitter) YouTube YouTube Shorts AI & Productivity ChatGPT AI-assisted content tools Analytics Native social analytics Audience growth tracking Who Thrives In This Role?
