What You ll Do:

• Provide inpatient obstetric care for high-risk pregnancies and urgent OB needs
• Co-manage patients with Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists, including assistance with C-sections and obstetric procedures
• Handle emergency cases and complex obstetric scenarios
• Support NICU and nursery units, including level II nursery care
• Document all patient interactions using Epic (Excellian) and Obix systems
• Assist with deliveries and postpartum care, focusing on high-risk patient management
• Collaborate with team members in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced environment

What You Need:
Required:

• Minnesota medical license or eligibility via IMLC
• Board-certified Ob/Gyn
• BLS certification
• Trauma I or II experience preferred
• Ability to start ASAP on a clean file for emergency temp permits

Preferred:

• Experience in high-risk obstetric care; level II nursery knowledge
• Flexibility for 24-hour shift rotations or 12-hour shifts

This position at a leading Minneapolis hospital serves a predominantly high-risk obstetric population, with over 90% of maternal cases requiring MFM involvement. The OB Hospitalist will be integral to providing acute obstetric and labor/delivery care, supporting both high-acuity cases and standard obstetric needs. The team is well-supported by in-house MFM specialists, ICU providers, and a collaborative clinical environment, ensuring comprehensive care delivery for complex cases.
