Bus Aide

Location: Springboro Community City Schools Hours: 6:10 am – 8:00 am & 2:00 pm – 4:15 pm* (may be required to remain until 9:30 am or 5:00 pm depending on the covered schedule) Overview Assists in providing safe transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular program. Duties and Responsibilities Assists the bus driver in maintaining good conduct of all students assigned to the aide. Assists young or disabled students in getting on and off the bus. Provides basic first aid and administers prescription medications as needed. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance. Demonstrates positive relationship with students, staff and parents. Establishes a supportive and empathetic relationship with students. Performs related duties as assigned by supervisors. Qualifications Valid Ohio Student Monitor Permit (may be obtained after employment). Possess a valid Ohio driver's license. Pass a criminal background check. Conditions of Employment Effective Date: ASAP Terms of Employment: One-year probationary period. Hours of Work: 6:10 am – 8:00 am and 2:00 pm – 4:15 pm (approximately 4 hours).
