Senior Bridge EngineerAre we the bridge to your future?We are currently searching for an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer focusing on bridge design and plan production to support our Gulf Region located in Mississippi and/or Tennessee.To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, 10 years of professional experience in structural engineering.Candidates should be based in or open to relocating to Mississippi or Tennessee.What you'll be doing:Lead and oversee bridge design projects from concept through completion, including analysis, design, and preparation of construction documentsManage the development of design plans, specifications, and calculations for various transportation and infrastructure projectsCollaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project deliveryPerform structural analysis using state-of-the-art software and apply engineering principles to solve complex design challengesEnsure compliance with DOT and other clients' design standards, guidelines, and specificationsReview and approve design plans, calculations, and construction documents for accuracy, completeness, and qualityMentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers and staff.Conduct site visits and inspections to assess the condition of existing structures and to monitor construction progressReview contractor submittals and provide recommendations on materials, methods, and construction proceduresParticipate in meetings with clients, consultants, and regulatory agencies to discuss project requirements and progressMaintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and advancements in structural engineering technologyWhat you need to have:BS degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or universityA minimum of 10 years of professional experience in structural engineering, with a focus on bridge design and plan productionPE is requiredProven experience working on DOT projects and familiarity with DOT standards and specificationsProficiency in using bridge analysis software programs such as Open Bridge Designer, CSI Bridge, FB-MultiPier, and other bridge analysis software. Familiarity with drafting software such as MicroStationIn-depth understanding of AASHTO and other relevant codes and standards.Experience with all phases of bridge design, including analysis, detailing, and plan preparationExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
