Role Description The Heating Air Conditioning Technician is a full‑time, on‑site role located in the Greater Seattle Area. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing residential and commercial HVAC systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation. Day‑to‑day tasks include diagnosing equipment issues, performing preventive maintenance, checking electrical components, and verifying compliance with relevant codes and environmental standards. The technician will coordinate with project managers, electricians, and customers to schedule work, explain findings, and provide recommendations for system improvements. The role also involves documenting service activities, maintaining tools and equipment, and supporting high‑quality, reliable installations aligned with Blossom Solar’s standards. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve HVAC system issues efficiently. Candidates should possess plumbing skills relevant to condensate lines, refrigerant piping, and related HVAC components. Candidates should possess preventive maintenance skills for inspecting, servicing, and optimizing HVAC systems. Candidates should possess electricity knowledge and practical skills for working safely with wiring, controls, and system power supplies. Candidates should possess EPA certification (or be able to obtain it) for handling refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations. Additional beneficial qualifications include experience with residential and commercial HVAC installations, familiarity with energy‑efficient technologies, and ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams. Strong communication skills, reliability, attention to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a field team are highly valued.
