About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU License: Active California state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Must-Have: - A-lines and phlebotomy experience - PICC lines, chest tubes, vents, telemetry, and IV start experience - Previous charge experience Description: This position requires the nurse to be flexible and willing to work in multiple locations. The nurse will float within the hospital or to affiliated hospitals based on patient census and unit requirements. Patient population includes cardiac, neuro, general, stroke, medical, surgical, kidney, liver solid organ transplant, and trauma cases. A 4-week schedule will be provided to the nurse two weeks in advance. The nurse will receive a phone call two hours before the shift to confirm the work location. Medical exemptions for the flu vaccine will be considered. Two manager references are required for application. All clinical staff must comply with background policies prior to submission for approval. Modules are non-billable and are included as part of the orientation and ongoing training.
