Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Previous experience in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation protocols

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care for patients requiring close observation and advanced therapies in a Stepdown/PCU setting
• Conduct frequent patient assessments, recognizing and responding promptly to changes in condition
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and manage intravenous lines according to approved protocols
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and laboratory values, ensuring documentation is accurate and up-to-date
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and progress, promoting understanding and engagement in care
• Uphold safety and infection control standards at all times
