Travel RN - TelemetryAmerican Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift position at a Level II trauma center, requiring 2 years of telemetry experience and prior travel assignment experience.Details:38-bed telemetry unit staffed with RNs, CNAs, Critical Care Techs (CCTs), and Advanced Care Techs (ACTs)Patient ratios typically range from 1:4 to 1:6 based on acuityCCTs monitor ECG rhythms on all telemetry patients 24/7ACTs assist with transport, admit/discharge tasks, IV and Foley insertion, ADLs, and limited medication administrationPatient population includes CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and COVIDCares for post-procedure patients including pacemakers, ablations, cath lab procedures, and downgraded OHS patients from ICUAdministers non-titratable cardiac medication drips (Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro, etc)3x12 night shift schedule with 36 guaranteed weekly hoursNo call requirementsMay float to ICU for telemetry/medical appropriate assignments, medical-surgical units, and an additional facility locationUses Epic EMR chartingRequirements:Active NV RN license required prior to startCurrent BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA for BLS/ACLS)Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience requiredMust pass a telemetry competency exam including rhythm strip identification and measurementPrior travel experience of at least one completed 13-week assignment requiredLevel II trauma center experience preferred given high-acuity, fast-paced environmentAdditional Information:Provides individualized nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patientsCoordinates care with other professionals including Rapid Response Team, phlebotomists, EKG technicians, and Respiratory TherapistsLocated at a Level II trauma center with 800 inpatient beds and 80 ER beds serving a 500-mile radiusMay be required to float to other units based on organizational needs up to competency levelRequired to work major holidays, with a minimum of 2 major holidays required per assignmentMust pick up one additional shift every 4-week schedule periodFacility reserves right to cancel shifts with 48 hours notice for low census per 13-week contractCandidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates not acceptedEMR training provided during orientation or candidates may test outRNs who have never held a temporary or permanent license may still be considered but must apply promptly upon offerReturning travelers must complete a 13-week break after ending a prior contractRequested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application and will not be added to the end of the contract
