Happy Hoppers Dental in Methuen, MA, is seeking a caring and motivated Pediatric Dental and Orthodontic Assistant to support our dental team. This part-time role involves assisting with patient care, ensuring smooth operations, and creating a positive experience for our young patients. Pediatric Denta;/ Orthodontic Assistant

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including pediatric and orthodontic treatments.
Prepare treatment areas, sterilize instruments, and maintain equipment following safety and disinfection protocols.
Take, develop, and process dental radiographs and use 3D scanners for impression creation.
Record patient information, including medical history and vital signs, accurately and securely in Dentrix EHR.
Educate patients and guardians on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and health education.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Operate medical imaging and orthodontic equipment as required.
Support team workflow and ensure compliance with HIPAA and infection control standards.

part-time $20 - $27 per hour

• Basic life support
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Certified Orthodontic Assistant
• Dentrix
• Driver’s license
• iTero

Prior experience in dental assisting, particularly with children and orthodontics, preferred.
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, sterilization, and disinfection procedures.
Ability to take vital signs and manage dental records effectively.
Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental management software.
Strong communication skills and patience to work with children and families.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Dexis
• X-ray / Radiography Certification

Experience with endodontics, orthodontics, and dental imaging equipment.
Knowledge of medical equipment cleaning and inventory management.
Prior exposure to pediatric dentistry best practices and health education.
