This Position reports to:
Application Engineering Manager - Industries Robotics

As a Welding Applications Engineer you'll be partnering with our sales teams and will work on conituous improvment and support for our welding and cutting related products. Tasks include developing proof-of-concepts, cycle time evaluations, reach studies, and configuration of robotic solutions for welding and cutting applications.

The work model for this role is: Remote-home office and have up to 35% of travel in the south eastern United States. Ideal candidate would be based in the south eastern market (TN - Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga) near a major metro airport.

Core Responsibilities

• Work with sales to review customer requirements, propose and design robotic solutions.
• Showcase proof of concept and other demonstrations and presentations to customers.
• Ensure all solutions comply with customer specs and any code requirements.
• Collaborate with customers, internal teams and potentially third party to address any issues, handle any changes in proposal or other documentation and alignment on requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in engineering or engineering technology with 10+ years in Robotic Welding or Associates Degree and 12+ years
• Offline programming such as RobotStudio or similar
• Comfortable presenting and interacting with all levels of customers as well as peer teams (sales, project management, etc.)
• Ability to read welding drawings, understand welding industry codes and knowledge of welding processes (laser, plasma, etc.) desirable.
• Automation engineering knowledge is desirable.
• Previous welding experience mandatory, ideally robotic.
