Veterinary Technician Position at Bloomfield Animal Hospital

Bloomfield Animal Hospital is hiring a veterinary technician. This is a full-time position with a salary that is negotiable and based on experience and licensure. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with hours varying between 8-5:30, depending on the shift.

The responsibilities include providing compassionate nursing care and support for patients, assisting veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures, practicing fear-free and low-stress handling techniques, monitoring patient comfort and well-being throughout treatment and recovery, administering medications and treatments as directed, educating clients on patient care, treatment plans, and preventive medicine, maintaining accurate patient records and medical documentation, anticipating the needs of veterinarians and supporting efficient workflow, and collaborating closely with fellow technicians, assistants, and doctors to deliver exceptional patient care.

Previous veterinary technician experience is required, veterinary technician licensure is preferred, and strong technical and patient care skills are necessary. Commitment to fear-free and low-stress patient handling techniques, excellent communication and client service abilities, a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset, ability to take ownership of responsibilities and deliver positive outcomes, strong organizational and critical-thinking skills, and a desire to continue learning and growing professionally are also important.
