About the Indiana State Park Inns: As one of the oldest state park lodging systems in the country, the Indiana State Park Inns proudly operates seven unique and beautiful facilities throughout our great state of Indiana. Each one offers a unique experience for guests to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature and make memories naturally! Spring Mill Inn is nestled within the beautiful Spring Mill State Park, in Mitchell, Indiana. The Inn features 73 comfortable guest rooms, the Millstone Dining Room, an indoor/outdoor pool, and banquet/conference space.

Indiana State Park Inns workers provide friendly customer service while ensuring the general upkeep of the inn to provide guests with a high-quality experience.

A Day in the Life

Housekeeping employees serve to maintain a clean and orderly environment including in guest rooms, cabins, and common areas. Housekeeping positions and their essential functions are as follows:

• Housekeeping: Responsible for performing cleaning duties to maintain a clean and orderly space for guests. Duties may include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning guest rooms, emptying trash, and vacuuming.
• Laundry: Responsible for cleaning and storing linens in a timely, organized manner to ensure that the Inn's laundry and linen needs are met.

This position starts at $13.29 per hour.

What You'll Need for Success: You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to take care of guests' needs in a professional manner.
• Should expect to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• May be required to wear an Indiana State Park Inns-provided uniform.
• May experience working in potentially inclement weather.

Benefits of Employment with the Indiana State Park Inns: Indiana State Park Inns supplements its full-time workforce with intermittent and part-time employees to effectively manage the workload. Management will determine which positions are considered part-time and which are considered intermittent. Part-time and intermittent employees enjoy flexible scheduling, have opportunities to learn new skills, and experience working in one of the most beautiful places in Indiana! Employees who are placed in intermittent positions work less than 30 hours per week and are not eligible for benefits. Employees who are placed in part-time positions work 30-36 hours per week and are eligible for a limited benefits package which includes medical insurance, paid time off, and new parent leave.
