Bell & Valet Attendant - [FTS] Dollywood's DreamMore Resort & Spa - Full Time Seasonal

The purpose of the Bell & Valet Attendant is to assist guests with a variety of needs during their stay. This position is designed to provide optimal standards of service and hospitality through anticipating and fulfilling all guests' needs in relation to transportation operations.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Greets all guests in an upbeat and positive manner, using guests’ name when possible and recognizing VIP guests
• Opens car doors for guests arriving and/or departing assist guests’ stepping in and out of their vehicle and with their luggage or bags
• Opens front doors for all arriving and departing individuals and greets appropriately
• Assists guests with luggage and familiarizes them with their room and the conference center
• Personalizes each guest interaction while providing directions or assistance to in-house guests
• Delivers all messages, packages and amenities promptly and accurately
• Maintains an orderly and clean luggage storage room, lobby and front entrance
• Remains in the lobby ready to assist guests and co-workers at any time with any requests or concerns they may have
• Acquires all necessary arrival and departure information from the Front Desk
• Safely parks and retrieves guest cars and ensures key security standards are followed
• Communicates check in venue and hotel information to guests
• Be knowledgeable of park information
• Provides guests with transportation to local areas as requested
• Assists guests with luggage and baggage handling
• Maintains safety conditions at all times and observe areas of responsibility for safety hazards
• Reports any suspicious behavior or people to Assistant Bell Captain, Bell Captain, Front Office Manager, MOD or Security immediately

Education and Experience Required

• Must be at least 18 years or age or older
• Requires basic employment skills in clerical, service, or manual areas
• Basic computer knowledge and usage preferred
• Customer Service experience required
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles according to company policy. Must have valid driver’s license, proof of auto liability insurance and acceptable motor vehicle driving record
• Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory completion of background screening which includes criminal history and motor vehicle record check

• Able to transport luggage and other items
• Able to drive guest vehicles and company shuttles

Physical and Cognitive Requirements

• Lifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting
• Mobility: Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours. Employees may also be required to travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain, stairs and uneven surfaces
• Repetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions
• Environmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat. Employees may be required to work indoors and outdoors
• Cognitive and Sensory Requirements: This position requires strong cognitive skills, including the ability to think critically, solve problems, process and retain information, have attention to detail and communicate effectively using approved methods
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job
