Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected start: October 2026 | 2 weekends/month required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients in a 16-bed CVICU with patient ratios of 1:2, or 1:1 for certain device patients
• Manage and monitor patients on advanced cardiac devices including ECMO, Centrimags, HM3 LVADs, IABP, and Impella
• Perform and assist with procedures including central line insertion, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, and intubations on the unit
• Utilize PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring; experience with CRRT is applicable to patient care responsibilities
• Document patient care using the Meditech electronic documentation system and operate Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Alaris IV pumps, and Hill-Rom beds
• Float as needed, typically to other ICUs, in accordance with unit floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (or compact equivalent) valid in Tennessee
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in critical care, with CVICU experience required
• Proficiency with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with IABP and Impella device management
• Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health record system
• Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity cardiac surgical setting
