• Annual Patient Volume: The emergency department sees approximately 26,500 visits each year, with a 12% admission rate. This creates a manageable pace, allowing for a diverse range of cases that promote both challenges and professional development.
• Department Size: With 23 beds available, the emergency department is optimally sized to facilitate effective patient management without overwhelming the staff.
• Comprehensive Coverage: Our team benefits from 24 hours of physician coverage and 20 hours of advanced practice clinician support, ensuring a balanced workload and collaborative patient care.
• Electronic Medical Records: We utilize Cerner for our EMR system, complemented by Dragon dictation, which streamlines workflow and enhances efficiency.
• Work Flexibility: A unique aspect of this role is the ability to work across eight additional emergency departments within our health network, providing variety in shift options, patient acuity, and earning potential.

The ideal candidates will be board certified or eligible in emergency medicine, or board certified or eligible in family medicine/internal medicine with substantial emergency department experience.
