Location: Humansville, Missouri

Start Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour days, flexible start time between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM, no weekends unless holiday falls on a weekday

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $41 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, evidence-based rehabilitative treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Administer therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, ambulation training, and modalities as part of individualized rehabilitation plans
• Assess patient progress and collaborate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments for optimal outcomes
• Document all regulatory and clinically required information accurately in the electronic documentation system
• Counsel patients, families, and caregivers on physical disorders, treatment plans, and home programs
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and facility trainings
• Maintain accurate treatment minutes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Support and supervise students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Missouri
• At least 1 year of PTA experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility (LTC/SNF) setting
• New graduates are welcome if they have Level II clinical experience rather than only Level I observation
• Must be able to work Monday-Friday with flexible start times between 6 AM and 10 AM
• Commitment to following APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid foundation in rehabilitation, therapeutic exercises, and patient assessment
• Skilled in documenting progress and communicating with the rehab team
• Knowledge of LTC/SNF regulatory requirements and best practices
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Comfortable using electronic documentation systems
