QA Analyst

ETL & Reporting QA Analyst Required Skills
1. Experience writing test plans, test cases, and executing tests, including tracing results back to requirements
2. Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, source to target validation, and reconciliation
3. Hands on ETL testing experience: full, incremental, integration, and regression loads; validating mappings, transformations, record counts, duplicates, and nulls
4. Experience testing reports and dashboards, including KPIs, calculations, filters, prompts, drill down and drill through functionality
5. Solid knowledge of data warehouse concepts, including fact and dimension tables, star and snowflake schemas, and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD Type 1 and Type 2)
6. Familiar with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira


Preferred Skills
1. Experience with batch job testing, file interfaces, error handling, and job recovery
2. Some exposure to performance, security, and access control testing
3. Experience with test environment setup and production verification after releases
4. Familiar with Agile QA practices and defect triage "


Responsibilities
1. Review business and technical requirements and develop test strategies, plans, scenarios, cases, and test data
2. Validate ETL workflows, source to target mappings, transformation rules, and full and incremental data loads
3. Execute SQL based reconciliation across source systems, staging areas, data warehouses, data marts, and reports
4. Test data warehouse structures, including fact and dimension loads, SCD processing, history, and referential integrity
5. Validate reports, dashboards, KPIs, filters, calculations, exports, drill down, and drill through functionality
6. Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, negative, and end to end testing
7. Document, prioritize, track, retest, and close defects with clear evidence and reproducible steps
8. Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, BI developers, and product owners to support releases and improve quality
