Job Description Opportunity: Physician - Hematology Oncology Job Details: Coverage needed as soon as possible on an ongoing basis until a permanent physician is hired Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no weekends and no call Practice setting includes both inpatient and outpatient care Patient population consists of adults and geriatric patients Case mix is 70% Oncology and 30% Hematology with no internal medicine One physician in practice with no APP support Average outpatient clinic volume is 12-25 patients per day Average inpatient rounding volume is 2-8 patients per day EMR system is Epic Board Certified in Medical Oncology required Board Certified in Hematology highly preferred Active Virginia license required BLS certification required Facility: This facility is a regional medical center offering a comprehensive range of healthcare services including an established Cancer Institute. The facility is designated as a Level III Trauma Center and supports both inpatient and outpatient care across multiple specialties. The cancer program provides oncology and hematology services to adult and geriatric populations in the region, with access to modern diagnostic and treatment resources including Epic EMR.
