Controls Engineer

The Controls Engineer will support dairy and food and beverage related projects. This role will involve programming PLCs, HMIs, and SCADAs, covering applications and hardware systems like Rockwell and Siemens. Additionally, the engineer will assist with project work, including creating spreadsheets for finding new suppliers for alternative hardware or components.

Responsibilities

• Support programming of PLCs, HMIs, and SCADAs for various applications.

• Manage and support a variety of projects in the dairy, food and beverage, and agriculture sectors.
• Gain and apply project management experience.

Work Environment

The facility includes sales, distribution, and service buildings. There is a dedicated building for the Electrical team and another facility in Freeport, IL. The company employs 110 individuals, with half being journeymen electricians working on electrical installations in industrial facilities, such as food, dairy, and wastewater treatment plants. The automation department consists of 12 members, including 1 CAD designer, 4 automation integrators or field control engineers, and 1 project manager with an electrical engineering degree. The team handles various projects and services for large customers, including cheese plants, dairy plants, and wastewater treatment facilities.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monroe, WI.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $60.10/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
