Civil Engineering Technician Fall Internship

Summary Learn from Senior CME Staff and performmaterial testing services on commercial construction sites. Day trips in the Syracuse, NY area. This internship is for Fall 2026, we expect this position to be full-time hours with occasional overtime. Responsibilities and Duties Test construction materials such as soils and concrete for quality assurance on commercial sites Read construction drawings and specifications and correctly interpret test results Complete each testing assignment accurately and in accordance with appropriate standards Record and report test results in a clear, concise manner Communicate regularly with direct supervisor to provide updates on project details Complete continuing education and preparation for certifications through the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and / orInternational Code Council (ICC) Qualifications and Skills Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering / Technology, Geology, or related Ability to obtain certifications through American Concrete Institute (ACI) and / or International Code Council (ICC) with full support from CME Familiarity with construction materials, procedures, and documents a plus Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license Compensation: $17.50 - 18.50 / hour This is an Equal Employment Opportunity.
