Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Jeffersonville, IN. Work schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm and rotating Saturdays. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Conduct administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program. Three (3) months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications One (1) year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills; both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Employees scheduled less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible for the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
