As a veterinarian in our state‑of‑the‑art hospital (opening June 20, 2025) you will be responsible for providing high‑quality medical care to a variety of companion animals and performing small animal care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough examinations of animals and diagnose illnesses or injuries Develop and implement treatment plans for companion animals based on their conditions Train to perform or perform surgical procedures, such as spaying/neutering, pyometra removals, tumor removals, eye enucleations Administer vaccinations and medications to prevent and treat diseases Educate pet owners on proper animal care, including nutrition, exercise, and grooming Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care Maintain accurate medical records for all patients Stay updated on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine through continuing education Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school Valid NC state veterinary license with 1 year experience Proficiency in animal catheterization, animal restraint, and general animal care techniques Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively educate pet owners Ability to handle dogs and other animals with care and compassion Knowledge of practice management software (Clinic HQ preferred, but not required) If you are passionate about providing exceptional veterinary care and making a positive impact on the lives of animals, we would love to hear from you.
