Overview Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000 Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision Location: Based in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio, Missouri, Michigan or Florida. Work Model: Fully Remote LaSalle Network is hiring for a skilled Outpatient Surgery Coder to support a high-performing healthcare team in a fully remote environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in independent work settings and has a sharp eye for detail, particularly when working with surgical documentation and coding accuracy. What’s the job? Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS codes for outpatient surgical encounters, with a strong focus on same day surgery cases Review operative reports and clinical documentation to ensure coding accuracy and completeness Apply APC reimbursement methodologies to support accurate billing outcomes Ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and payer-specific requirements Query providers for clarification when documentation is incomplete or unclear Meet productivity and quality benchmarks in a remote setting Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives What’s needed? RHIA, RHIT or CCS credential required Hands-on experience coding outpatient surgical cases, including same day procedures Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM coding systems Familiarity with APC reimbursement methodology Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment What’s in it for me?
