Local Foodservice Delivery Driver - CDL A or B - Full Time with Benefits and Retirement plan

Job Description:

Want to be local not over the road? Then we have the opportunity for you.
Foodservice-related work. We are in the Bakery Supply business.
You get to visit the sweetest places on earth - Bakeries !!
You will work either with a driver's helper or alone to bring supplies to the local bakeries.
We do dock drops, carry in with convertible dolly, and use electric pallet jacks, and liftgates.
Daytime work no major holidays.

Job Details:

Full time.
Foodservice type work.
Daily local routes.
Weekly compensation.
Per diem pay on top of weekly compensation for any night away from home.
401K plan.
Medical, eye, and dental plans are available.

The following items are based on the position assigned daily:

Working independently or with a driver's helper.
Some Lifting - up to 50# case.
Liftgate- equipped Trucks and trailers.
Use a Convertible dolly and an Electric pallet jack.
Delivering and unloading various food products to retail/ wholesale.
Route delivery experience is a plus.
Early morning to daylight hours.
Daily routes with one overnight run weekly - room provided

Applicant must be able to:

Drive Company vehicles - Tractor and Trailer Combination or 26-foot box truck.
Drive Automatic or Manual transmission (10-speed).
Deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows.
Unload products from the truck by hand or using a hand cart, and place them in designated customer storage areas.
This may include transporting products down ramps, stairs, or docks.
Lift, push, or move a product that weighs 1-50 pounds.
Reach up to 72" to stack and unstack pallets and hand carts.
Verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures.
Collect payments where required, and turn in all funds collected daily.
Pickup, load and unload damaged goods and customer returns.
Use the provided Electronic Log Device for DOT Hours of Service.
Complete company vehicle maintenance reports.
Safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to hand cart, pallet jacks, load bars, liftgate, and personal protective equipment.
Experience utilizing electric pallet jack, truck liftgate, and hand trucks.
