General Maintenance Worker

Maintenance WorkerWe are looking for a reliable, skilled maintenance worker to perform essential upkeep tasks throughout the facility. This position will be responsible for a wide variety of activities, including repairs and cleaning. Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential in this job, as the ideal candidate will have significant work experience and solid technical knowledge.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform minor fixes, such as ceiling tiles, damage to walls, replacing lightbulbs, etc.Installing necessary equipment as neededCheck system controls and critical systems, logging information as required. Complete minor adjustments as neededPerform necessary cleaning activities, such as dusting, mopping, trash removal, etc.Complete regular maintenance tasks, such as Preventive Maintenance work requestsInspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systemsTest the functionality of the facility's safety systemsReport to facilities or maintenance manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attentionOther duties as assigned.Knowledge, Experience, and Skill RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentProven experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position, preferably in a corporate settingBasic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systemsExperience working with tools, including hand and electrical toolsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsGeneral passion for creative problem-solvingWork EnvironmentMust be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop, and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, and perform constant arm extensions.Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable.
