Job Summary Dayton Parts is seeking a Product Manager to join our team. As a Product Manager for Dayton, you will plan, organize, and control assigned heavy duty product lines from conception through product life cycle for optimal profit and to achieve marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives. This role drives business growth and performance at product category level; co-developing and co- leading/influencing customer, pricing, sourcing and service strategies. Directly/indirectly manage one or more cross-functional product teams. Actively think long-term strategy (12-24 months) and planning accordingly to sustain and drive initiatives to successful completion. This is a hybrid role based in Dorman Products' corporate headquarters in suburban Philadelphia (Colmar, PA) with the exception to be onsite three days per week. Primary Duties 1. Manages APMs and Coordinators 2. Establishes product road map, produce category and customer line reviews and go market strategy 3. Definescategory pricing and add strategies 4. Defines market messages and ensures all marketingcopy, product descriptions, etc. are correct and accurately reflect message and positions 5. Creates and delivers engaging presentations with influence to support selling 6. Performs pricing reviews 7. Sets forecast for newadds 8. Collaborates with customers and Tech Line 9. Attends national tradeshows 10. Proactively follows-up with account managers on a consistentbasic 11. Establishes and drive project priorities 12. Maintains the pulse of the market and competitor landscape 13. Is recognized as a credible, marketplace Subject Matter Expert on the product line 14. Researchesand stay informed of market and technology trends 15. Champions and advocates product lines 16. Supports Sales team through ongoing education, line reviews, and training 17. Creates and sets sample, Operating Income (OI) andNewbudgets for product lines 18. Manages profitability for assigned product line 19. Other duties as assigned Qualifications 1. Experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred. 2. Prior experience working and leading cross functional teams 3. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate at all levels of the organization and move projects through the organization with minimal direction 4. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite and specifically Excel including pivot tables and v-lookups 5. Must be willing to travel 10% of the time and occasional weekend responsibility 6. Physical Requirement:Capability to lift 50 pounds. 7. Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen.Noiselevel is usually moderate. Education / Experience 1. B.S. degree in Business or minimum of 5yearswork experience 2. Minimum of 2 years' experience in Product Management, Marketing, Product Engineering or Strategic sourcing with a strong focus on new product #DaytonParts #LI-EK1 The US base salary range for this full-time position is $92,700.00 to $138,000.00. This role is also eligible for a bonus. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
