With mentorship opportunities, clinical education courses, professional certificationsupport,and educationalassistance,youwillhaveallthe resourcesyou needtobuild the career of a lifetime. ***SHIFT: 10a - 10:30p***\n Job Summary and Qualifications\n \n \n The CAPs Specialist provides crisis intervention and assessment to assist in determining the appropriate level of psychiatric care needed.\n What you will do in this role:\n \n \n Provides crisis intervention via phone and face to face assessment.\n Conduct assessments to determine most appropriate level of psychiatric care\n Communicates with physicians, referral sources and other hospital staff in order to obtain care for patients.\n Refers people to community mental health services as indicated following assessment.\n Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.\n Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars/professional development as requested by manager\n Adheres to the facilities Standards of Performance and ICARE values.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n What qualifications you will need:\n \n \n Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date\n Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date\n (RN) Registered Nurse\n Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree\n Minimum 2 years of experience in Behavioral Health or Emergency Department\n \n \n \n \n Benefits\n Centennial Medical Center Parthenon Pavilion, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
