In Coral Gables, Kendall & Homestead is looking for a Physical Therapist for its Palace at Home 10850 SW 113th Place Miami, FL 33176.

The #1 priority of this position is to provide physical therapy as prescribed by a physician, which can be safely provided in the facility and assisting the physician in evaluating patients by applying diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint and functional abilities tests.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Providing physical therapy services as prescribed by a physician.
• Observing and recording activities and findings in the clinical record and reporting the resident's reaction to the treatment and any changes in the patient's condition.
• Providing instructions to the resident, family members, and other health team personnel in care and use of physical therapy devices.
• Determining proper procedures and methods and evaluating results.
• Maintaining inventory of materials and supplies for the assigned area of the department/facility.
• Practicing physical therapy consistent with the American Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

Qualifications include:

• Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
• Must possess an active State of Florida Physical Therapy license.
• Have supervision and management skills.
• Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written in English. Spanish preferred.
• Basic math skills required.
• Able to operate the necessary equipment.
