Join an agency that values your expertise and dedication to wellness DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position focuses on planning nutrition care, supporting clinical needs, and guiding healthy practices for consumers at Danville State Hospital. The role ensures nutrition programs meet standards and respond to individual needs. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will perform the following duties: Nutrition Planning: Develop nutrition assessments, education programs, and discharge planning for consumers Diet Management: Prepare modified diets and adjust meal plans based on consumer needs and menu acceptance Clinical Collaboration: Recommend nutrition interventions and participate in committees focused on consumer care Program Oversight: Maintain computer-based meal records and update nutrition care policies and procedures Staff Guidance: Support food service staff in delivering appropriate nutrition services to consumers Quality Review: Take part in tray audits, peer reviews, and training to meet regulatory and licensing standards Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY Special Requirement This position requires active certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) as issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, or proof of eligibility for such certification.
