The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with strong work ethic, leadership ability, and a commitment to achieving results in a fast-paced production environment.Job DetailsJob Type: Full-TimeJob Location: Milford 46542Pay Rate: $70,000 annuallySchedule: 1st Shift – Sunday through ThursdayKey ResponsibilitiesSupervise and direct production staff by coordinating daily activities, communicating expectations, and resolving operational issuesEnsure production efficiency, product quality, food safety, and employee safety within the departmentTrain, coach, evaluate, and discipline employees in accordance with company policies and proceduresPrepare for production by verifying equipment readiness, setting operational parameters, and ensuring proper production flowMonitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and take corrective action when neededEvaluate operational performance including line speeds, staffing levels, and workflow efficiencyCollaborate with USDA personnel to address and resolve regulatory concernsPartner with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, including pre-operational inspectionsEnsure adherence to HACCP programs, SSOPs, and all regulatory and company policiesCoordinate employee training programs related to production, food safety, OSHA, and company proceduresWork cross-functionally to align production goals and operational needsPartner with Human Resources on hiring, attendance, performance management, and disciplinary actionsTroubleshoot minor mechanical or operational issues and escalate when necessarySupport continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean and process improvementsPerform additional duties as requiredQualificationsAssociate degree or equivalent experience preferred1–3 years of experience in production, manufacturing, or food processing required (poultry or protein industry preferred)Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred; strong leadership potential may be consideredKnowledge of food manufacturing processes, USDA regulations, HACCP, and SSOPs requiredProficiency in Microsoft Excel and production systems (CAT2 or similar preferred)Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to read, write, and speak EnglishAbility to maintain regular and reliable attendanceRequired ExperienceProduction, manufacturing, or food processing: 1 year (required)USDA regulations, HACCP, SSOPs: 1 year (required)Microsoft Excel and production systems: 1 year (required)Supervising: 1 year (required)Work LocationIn person
