Overview

Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, a nonprofit teaching hospital affiliated with George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to join Gastroenterology Associates.

This role offers the opportunity to practice advanced gastroenterology in a collaborative academic environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities, diverse patient populations, and robust clinical support.

Core Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat conditions involving the gastrointestinal (GI), hepatic, biliary, and pancreatic systems

• Provide outpatient care and inpatient consults (rotating call schedule)

• Perform and interpret endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy preferred)

• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging

• Manage chronic GI conditions and follow-up care plans

• Supervise and teach residents, fellows, and medical students

• Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nurses, and interdisciplinary teams

• Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and clinical governance

• Stay current with clinical guidelines, research, and emerging GI technologies

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $500,000 + performance-based incentives (RVU model)

Minimum Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Completion of Gastroenterology Fellowship

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology

• Eligible for Maryland Medical License (unrestricted)

• Active DEA and CDS licenses

• BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred:

• Experience with EGD and colonoscopy procedures

• Interest in academic medicine, teaching, or research
