Assistant Designer, Mens Accessories & Footwear

Our client is seeking a Menswear Design Assistant to join their team in New York! This is a full-time hour contract role. Pay is dependent on years of experience. You must have prior corporate menswear design experience to be considered. Responsibilities Work closely with Design to create concepts, select color stories, and develop fabrics, prints, trim, and graphics. Prepare professional presentation boards with illustrations, CAD artwork, fabrication, and samples. Assists in research of seasonal trends, themes, colors, raw materials, styling, and trims. Maintains and keeps up to date linesheets, sketches and tech packs. Work with cross functional partners to manage and meet deadlines. Work with Production to maintain design concept throughout production process. Keeps samples and raw materials libraries organized and accessible. Qualifications 1-2 years Design experience within Menswear Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel Proficiency in PLM system a plus Detail oriented, team player Ability to work in the fast paced environment Openness to doing non glamorous tasks such as studio organizing / cleaning Strong organizational skills Please submit your Resume & Portfolio to apply!
