Automation Software & Controls Technician IV

Johnson & Johnson seeks an Engineering Technician IV for on-site production equipment maintenance in Jacksonville, Florida. This lead-level role diagnoses automation systems, mentors technicians, and partners with engineers to optimize manufacturing equipment uptime across lens production lines.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and diagnose sophisticated automation equipment and control systems
Serve as first point of contact for automation software line-down incidents
Develop technical documentation and troubleshooting guides for complex problems
Mentor on-shift technicians and participate in knowledge transfer initiatives
Collaborate with automation engineers to identify and implement line reliability solutions

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum six years of relevant work experience
Proven problem-solving ability and task completion track record
PLC programming and troubleshooting experience preferred
Industrial manufacturing or medical device manufacturing background preferred
Knowledge of robots, servo controls, and logical sequence systems preferred

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $96,600.00 base
