Located North of the twin cities metro area in beautiful Forest Lake, MN. This building is managed by Ebenezer. We offer 80 senior units with a mix of Independent/Assisted Living as well as Memory Care and Care Suites. Our community is adjacent to both Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN and is near public transportation making it a convenient location for our employees. We boast an exceptional team of caregivers who believe in our mission to heal, discover, and educate for longer healthier, more meaningful lives.We are looking for a Resident Assistant whom would provide personal cares to improve and/or maintain the senior assisted living/memory care residents' physical and emotional well-being for our busy senior living in Forest Lake, MN. In the position one will be provided on the job medication passing training and be expected to pass medications.This caregiver schedule includes:40 hours per two weeks (.5 FTE). part-time, 5 shifts in two weeksEvening shift. Offers evening shift differential payEvery other weekend Sat/SundayEligible for partial benefits (paid time off, matching retirement monies)ResponsibilitiesAssists residents with personal cares including but not limited to:Bathing/showeringFoot and fingernail careShavingDressingAssistance with use of hearing aids and/or glassesHair careFeedingToiletingEscorts1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical liftProvides health-related services as directed: Assists with treatments per individualized care plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse. (includes blood glucose monitoring)Administers medication or assists with this under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes insulin injections). Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration under the direction of the Registered NursePerforms specified home services:Performs laundry service per schedule.Follows cleaning schedule for the shift worked.Delivers meal trays.Assists with meal service in dining room.Assists with preparing for and/or facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned and as requested.Observes tenants/residents and reports status to appropriate staff.Notifies appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as change in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, change in weight.Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any concerns regarding potential mistreatmentOffers pertinent observations and input.Responds appropriately to resident and building emergencies.Required QualificationsLess than 1 yearAbility to use technology in the form of computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machinesIf under 18 must be on the MN NA registry and site must be able to manage restrictions that they are not able to pass medications or operate a mechanical lift independently.Preferred Qualifications1-3 years experienceBenefit OverviewEbenezer offers a generous benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
