As an Armed Security Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat08:00 AM - 08:00 PMSun08:00 AM - 08:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel. Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and required records in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures. Minimum Requirements: At least two years of security-related experience are required. An armed guard card or license is required. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
