Space Acquisition Support Specialist

Title Space Acquisition Support Specialist Overview KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high‑end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this role, you will support the Space Systems Command’s Space Technical, Advisory, Research & Development Support Task (STAR DST) contract, providing services to the Program Executive Officer for Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (PEO/SDACP). Key Responsibilities Collect and consolidate program data to generate key weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports (Monthly Acquisition Report, Defense Acquisition Executive Summary, Information Technology Investment Portfolio System, etc.) and administer and maintain knowledge sharing tools and repositories (ESBMC2 shared folder, ESBMC2 Wiki, ESBMC2 SharePoint Site, etc.) Support development of ESBMC2 Program Management Review slide packages, Point Papers, Bullet Background Papers, and other programmatic documentation as required. Develop responses to all programmatic taskers for ESBMC2 Program Manager approval. Provide support for management of all ESBMC2 contracts. Support contract actions such as generating Request for Proposal packages, developing Performance Work Statements, facilitating technical evaluations, supporting source selection, and assisting with contract management. Continuously assess contract cost, schedule, and performance against program baselines to ensure early identification and resolution of negative trends. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business management related field. At least 15 years of relevant experience in government acquisition management. Familiarity with the Department of Defense space acquisition life‑cycle management processes. Knowledge of the systems, organization, personnel, activities and capabilities of U.S. space systems. Understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS). Ability to function in a multi‑contractor/customer environment. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills. Some travel required. DoD TS/SCI eligibility required. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree preferred. Acquisition experience at the Space Systems Command or equivalent. 10+ years of experience in software acquisition desired. Strong technical background with 10+ years’ experience in space systems, operations, satellite and special access programs acquisition. Understanding of Agile/Lean software development methodologies. Ability to create, organize and manage SharePoint sites. Compensation Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Basic compensation: $170–$180k per year, with potential bonuses and other incentives.
