- Experience in school food services preferred.
- Must meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama statutes and State Board of Education regulations.ns
Contract: 240 Days Supervises: n/a Job Description/Performance Responsibilities:
- Maintain building security and policing grounds.
- Cleaning, sweeping, dry mopping floors.
- Cleaning and restocking of restrooms and restroom fixtures.
- Cleaning classrooms and offices, vacuuming carpeted areas, dusting furniture and office machines.
- Cleaning of windows and window sills and removal of debris from the building(s).
- Responsible for buffing/burnishing, stripping and refinishing of hard surface floors.
- Shampooing, spotting and extracting carpet.
- Light bulb replacement, HVAC filter service and other project work.
- Performs within his/her ability, minor repairs to include but not limited to light fixture/ballast replacement and light switch repair, light window glazing, door lock and closet repairs, flush valve repair and other light plumbing.
- Provide emergency cleanup for spills.
- Responsible for reporting needs for other repairs and maintenance.
- Moves or assists in the moving of heavy furniture, equipment, and objects from room to room, floor to floor, and into or out of buildings.
- Responsible for maintaining/ordering custodial equipment and supplies and scheduling project work.
- Performs and/or assists in events or special program set-ups and assists faculty and staff as time permits.
- Shift schedule as determined by the principal and the needs of the facility and perform other duties as assigned.
- Participate successfully in training programs offered to increase skill and proficiency related to assignments.
- Participate in cross-training activities as required.
- Assume other reasonable job-related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
