Wound Care Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse to join our team on an on-call rotation basis. The ideal candidate will possess specialized knowledge in wound care management and demonstrate effective clinical skills in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients with complex wound issues.

Role Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive wound assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
Apply advanced wound care techniques and utilize appropriate products to promote healing.
Educate patients and families about wound care management, prevention strategies, and treatment options.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including wound assessments and progress notes.
Stay updated with the latest wound care practices and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Current nursing license in the state of practice.
Previous experience in wound care is required.
Certification in wound care is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to respond to urgent patient needs during on-call hours.
