We are hiring for an Entry Level Tool and Die Maker as well as an experienced Tool and Die Maker in Woodville, WI. Position: Tool & Die Maker Location: Woodville, WI Shift: 1st M-TH 7:00am - 4:30pm Pay: $18 - $25 BOE Position Summary: Be able to use appropriate equipment such as surface grinder, wire EDM, and other equipment to create and make tooling to match blue prints and part drawings. Responsible for developing, designing, producing and/or repair of a wide variety of tools, dies and jigs to close tolerance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Able to construct tools, die, and jigs to a close tolerance as directed by the Tool Room Supervisor. Have knowledge of machine operations, mathematics and blueprint reading. Be responsible for checking tools and dies to match prints and meet all standards and specifications. Plan, design, construct and/or repair a wide variety of tools, die, and jigs to close tolerance. Set-up and operate all tool room machines for specific form tool, tap, drills, or holder for grinding. Perform development work including selection bend allowances and devising mechanism details. Familiarity with different materials and how to use them in machining. Perform tool room operations including CNC, mills, and grinders, turning lathes and machining tools. Use of basic measurement tools including surface plate, height gauge, caliper, micrometer and surface comparator required. Maintain adherence to company policies and good housekeeping practices. Perform other duties as assigned and/or directed. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings. Basic knowledge of math and use of hand measuring tools. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required Familiar with tool making machines and minimum of 1-year manufacturing experience required. Knowledge of and implementation of all safety, quality and maintenance procedures as required. Working Environment and Physical Demands Work with minimal supervision, demonstrate the ability to interpret and resolve problems and issues. Work performed in a manufacturing environment with a minimal exposure to noise and oil. Moderate to high physical activity, involving routine lifting (occasionally up to fifty pounds - mechanical devices are available to assist in lifting), walking, standing and sitting for extended periods.
