CNC Operator

We currently represent 7 different machine shops in Nassau county and Suffolk County. Whether you are relatively new and have 1 year of experience or you've made a career out of it and have lots of experience we have a role that is a match for you. We also have a couple manager positions available. 

salary: $62,000 - $83,000 per year

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills and lathes safely and efficiently
• Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and offset adjustments
• Load raw materials and tools into machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
• Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges
• Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and tolerances
• Edit CNC programs and make program adjustments as needed
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues
• Optimize cycle times and improve manufacturing efficiency
• Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality workmanship
• Perform preventative maintenance and maintain clean work areas
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards

The essential functions of this role include:

• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
