Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Job Details – Location: Eastern Dental of Passaic-Essex LLC – Clifton, NJ 07011; Position Type: Part Time; Salary Range: $30–$35 hourly. The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) specializing in orthodontics performs a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. The RDA works in conjunction with the Orthodontist making patients feel as comfortable as possible, preparing them for treatment, obtaining their dental records, and instructing patients on post-operative and general oral health care. Role and Responsibilities Perform a variety of orthodontic treatment procedures under the direct supervision of the Orthodontist Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment Take, develop and mount dental radiographs (x-rays) Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment Adhere to all OSHA and safety policies and procedures Provide patients with instructions for oral care following all orthodontic treatment procedures Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health while undergoing orthodontic treatment Perform various office tasks as necessary All other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the immediate supervisor Qualifications and Education Requirements Previous experience with Ortho is highly preferred RDA License is required Strong communication and organizational skills X-Ray License High School Diploma or equivalent Denticon experience preferred, but not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr Eastern Dental
