Job Details Location: Southwest Behavioral Care Armstrong County ETH - Kittanning, PA 16201 Position Type: Part Time Overall Function Maintains the general safety, security of consumers in crisis and aids consumers with the implementation of their individualized service plans. Responsibilities Provides hands‑on instruction to residents to implement crisis plans and assist with crisis resolution. As a member of the housing support team, provides hands‑on support and assistance to Specialized Residential UnitII residents. Conducts recreational and social activities with residents, as assigned. Assists in meal preparation for the Specialized Residential UnitII residents. Provides transportation to medical appointments as necessary. Participates in regular staff meetings and trainings to develop basic knowledge and skills to assist residents in crisis resolution and support job performance. Maintains proper condition, cleanliness, and safety of the Specialized Residential UnitII, and responds appropriately to emergency situations. Other duties as required. Maintains proper documentation of all assistance and support provided to each resident. Adheres to all policies, laws, regulations and codes of ethics and confidentiality as outlined by federal and state laws and agency policies and procedures. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED or an equivalent combination of skills, experience, and education may be considered at the discretion of the Agency. Ability to receive, understand, and communicate information with effectiveness, and follow instructions. Ability to utilize electronic medical records. Must have a valid PA Driver’s License and safe driving record. Must successfully obtain Criminal History Clearance from the PA State Police and Child Abuse Clearance from the PA Department of Human Services and FBI Fingerprint Clearances. Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid or any other federal health care program. Ability to operate a passenger van. Ability to assist, move and/or transfer clients with physical limitations, may be required. Ability to display an understanding and empathetic attitude when dealing with consumers and communicating with family members.
