Sentara Orthopedic Trauma Specialists are hiring a Medical Assistant ! **ALL QUALIFIED CANDIDATES CAN RECEIVE up to a $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS!** Position Location : Norfolk, VA Position Status : Full-time Days Overview The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative and clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Education High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required) Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Preferred) Certification/Licensure Certification must be received within (9) nine months of employment in one of the following certification programs: BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
