Burke Town School offers a highly collaborative, student-centered environment. Our campus environment allows plenty of opportunity for outdoor and experiential education, project based learning, and a development of a sense of place. Experience with Responsive Classroom, Zones of Regulation, and PBIS is a plus, but not necessary. Knowledge of structured literacy instruction, UFLI, Bridges math program, workshop model, and a focus on data driven decision making, partnered with strong relationship building skills and classroom management desired. Our aim is to be academically rigorous, while building a community based in mutual respect and care. The pay range for this position is $46,267-$89,467. Burke Town School is part of the Kingdom East School District, located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students. Our high school students have "choice" and may opt to attend one of the traditional independent schools -- Lyndon Institute or St. Johnsbury Academy -- or another high school of their choosing. We are located about 3 hours from Montreal, Boston and Portland, ME. Our region is known for breathtaking views and access to great skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, canoeing and other outdoor opportunities.
